Exercise May Lower Older Women’s Kidney Stone Risk

Research conducted by the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, Georgetown University, and University of Washington School of Medicine revealed that exercise may lower older women’s risks of developing kidney stones. Women who had produced a certain amount of METs, a measure of how much effort is put into an activity, had a significant probability in which they had reduced chances of having kidney stones. The study found that the amount of exercise the individuals obtained was the most important aspect.
