More Fruits And Veggies, Less Salt Prevent Kidney Stones From Forming

Researchers found that a healthy diet is beneficial in order to prevent kidney stones. A study conducted by Eric Taylor and his colleagues at Brigham and Women’s Hospital revealed that the healthier an individual’s diet was, the more likely the individual was to prevent developing kidney stones. The researchers determined how healthy an individual’s diet was by assigning him or her a number based on the eight components of DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension). This study suggests that following the DASH diet is an effective alternative in order to prevent the formation of kidney stones.
