Prostate cancer treatment: ‘no benefit for older patients with other health problems’

One of the most commonly diagnosed cancers for men in the USA is prostate cancer. A new study suggests that prostate cancer treatment for older males may have adverse outcomes. The study finds that older and sicker males are more likely to die from the aggressive treatment of prostate cancer. The various treatments for prostate cancer offer an array of side effects that may outweigh the positives of the treatment for older males.
